About your next role

In this role, you will provide friendly, safe, legal, and responsible management of the licensed Warnkurr Club while aligning with the ALPA management contract and the requirements of the Club's Directors.

  • Operate the Club in full compliance with management contracts, liquor licensing, legislation, and local Director requirements

  • Roster, supervise, train, manage, and develop local club employees

  • Oversee bar and catering operations in strict accordance with licensing, health, and hygiene standards

  • Manage daily stock consumption, complete stocktakes, and place ongoing inventory orders

  • Prepare daily operational financial reports and manage supplier invoices, overcharges, and freight credits

  • Supervise overall premises operations including site security, cleaning, maintenance, and repairs

  • Organize approved community engagement initiatives, promotions, and entertainment

  • Develop strategic recommendations for the Directors regarding merchandise, entertainment, and food services

  • Provide operational support to the local Kalkarindji Retail Store as required


What we look for

You are an experienced hospitality professional who leads by example, demonstrates strong cultural adaptability, and thrives in remote community environments.

  • Demonstrated supervisory or management experience within a club, bar, or hotel food and beverage environment

  • A thorough understanding of requirements under the Liquor Act 2019 NT or the capacity to quickly acquire this knowledge

  • Proven experience utilizing electronic systems for cash handling, financial reporting, and stock control

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style for individuals of all education levels, language abilities, and cultural backgrounds

  • Strong capacity to align daily operational decisions with the broader ALPA values and mission

  • Prior experience working alongside First Nations people or working in remote Northern Territory settings is highly desirable

  • Previous experience acting as a licensee under NT liquor legislation will be highly regarded
